Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan

Get ready for it: Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan romance time!

No, nothing like a real-life hookup (Mulligan is a married woman!), but…

The two apparently make quite the impressive lovebirds in Baz Luhrmann's upcoming 3-D retelling of The Great Gatsby.

Sources tell me that DiCaprio, 37, and Mulligan, 26 deliver with their chemistry.

"Oh, you can see it and feel it," one source reports.

Another says that it's pure romance. In other words, you'll find no Fifty Shades of Gatsby here.

The X Factor - new judges

The worst kept secret at Fox was made official at the network’s upfront presentation in New York today: Britney Spears and Demi Lovato will join The X Factor as judges in the fall.

Spears and Lovato joined fellow judges Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid on the Beacon Theatre stage very briefly but long enough to express their enthusiasm for their new high-profile gigs.

“I’m ready to find the true star,” gushed Spears, who wore a very tight and very short white dress for the occasion.

Django Unchained news

Django Unchained has suffered a double blow in the casting stakes, with both Kurt Russell and Sacha Baron Cohen dropping out of Quentin Tarantino's latest.

Russell is the second actor to leave the role of Ace Woody, having initially replaced Kevin Costner for the part. Costner had cited scheduling issues, but as yet, no reason has been given by Russell's camp for his departure.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is back!

Arnold Schwarzenegger is baaack .. in the action star game.

Continuing his bid to re-establish himself on the big screen after a stint as California's governor and a sex scandal, the "Terminator" star has signed on for the Open Road Films-disrtibuted action thriller "Ten," which will be directed by "Training Day," "S.W.A.T." and "U-571" writer David Ayer.

Beyoncé Does Her Own Makeup

Beyoncé remembers first trying makeup when she was 6 years old.

"I was playing in my mother's makeup," she tells PEOPLE. "I had blue eye shadow and red lips, and I put crazy blush on. I looked like a clown, but I thought I was so beautiful."

Her routine has come a long way since then – the singer often does her own makeup for appearances – but her love for the basics remains.

Asked what she wears to look awake after sleepless nights spent with baby Blue, she replies, "Lip gloss – I love L'Oréal's Infallible 8 HR Le Gloss in Coral Sands – and a little bit of blush."

Tom Cruise replaces Hugh Jackman

Tom Cruise has some big shoes to fill. Some big, thickly accented, monster-hunting shoes.

Universal announced this week that the A-lister is attached to take the lead in a reboot of the previously Hugh Jackman-starring Van Helsing, which is one of several films on the studio's production slate. Thanks to his foray into Anne Rice territory, Cruise is no stranger to a big-screen bloodsucker, but going from vampire to vampire slayer? Now that's range.

Rosie O’Donnell against Lindsay Lohan

It’s a battle of the Mean Girls.

The former ‘Queen of Nice’ Rosie O’Donnell is slamming the casting of Lindsay Lohan as iconic actress Elizabeth Taylor in a new biopic for Lifetime Television.

During a new roundtable panel segment on Tuesday’s Today show featuring O’Donnell, TV pundit Donny Deutsch and Star Jones, host Matt Lauer brought up the topic of Lohan playing the late Oscar winning actress in the upcoming television movie Liz and Dick, a movie based on Taylor’s legendary romance with Richard Burton.
